What is hair loss?

Hair fall has become a very common problem these days. I also face this problem. Hair fall is loss of hair from the head or body part. Usually the head is involved. Hair loss can affect children as well as adults.

Main reasons to hair fall:

There are many reasons for hair to fall out. Hair loss can be caused by diseases or by dietary deficiencies. People could lose hair because of dandruff, environmental factors, protein deficiency, bacterial, fungal disorders and lack of immune system. The main reasons are 

Stress: Stress is the main cause to hair fall. Some dictionaries defines the stress as the mental tension and worry caused by life or by work. Not only hair loss,  it can cause serious health issues. Everybody is under stress in their life at a certain stages.

Hormonal imbalance: Hormonal imbalance is another main cause to hair fall. It can lead to hair thinning and baldness. It occurs when there is too much or too little of hormone in the blood. Mainly this can be seen in women.

Genetics: Majority of hair loss is due to genetic pattern. If your previous generations were bald it would be transmitted to you by your elders.

Medical conditions: The people who have medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and low immunity may get hair loss problem.

Low hemoglobin: Less amount of hemoglobin in blood cells causes weak and dry hair and leads to hair fall.

How to reduce hair fall?

Maintain healthy diet: Eat a high protein and high iron diet. Sprouted seeds are high in protein in nature. Eat daily sprouts in morning to have good and healthy hair. In addition to these take almond, ground nuts leafy greens and lentils. Soya beans or soybeans (Glycine max) are another high protein food.






Removing dandruff: Head bath should be done every day with soft water to remove dandruff and rub the scalp with the fingers while bathing. While bathing use dill paste instead of using shampoo. To remove dandruff we have a tip that is mix one cup of lemon juice and two cups of curd and apply this mixture to head (scalp), after 15 minutes take head bath.

Avoid bad habits: If you have bad habits like smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs, it is better to give a break to these bad habits because these may lead to hair fall.



Home Remedies to reduce hair fall:

1) Mix two to three capsules of Vitamin E in two table spoons of coconut oil or almond oil or olive oil. Do head massage with this mixture for a few minutes and after one hour take head bath with soft water.

2) Mix Indian gooseberry (usiri) with coconut oil or olive oil or almond oil and apply to the hair, after two hours take head bath.

3) Boil two cups of neem leaves in water, let the water cool and after head bath apply the neem water to the scalp so that your hair become healthy.
